Model Options and Cost

The cost of Artful Learning has two parts: the Artful Learning fee, which covers the Summer Institute, two on-site trainings per year, and ongoing remote support; and estimated in-school costs—teacher pay for the Summer Institute, substitute coverage during the school-year trainings, and classroom materials—which vary with the size of the training and local costs and are assumed by the school or underwritten by fundraising. We work with schools, districts, and funders to identify grants and philanthropic partnerships that can offset these costs. If funding is a concern, let’s talk.

Option 1: Artful Learning — Three-Year Comprehensive Model

The most transformational option: three consecutive annual Summer Institutes led by Trainers; two on-site trainings each school year plus ongoing remote support; curriculum materials and resources aligned to your school’s standards; and an ongoing professional learning community. Up to 40 participants per cohort: 35 teachers plus 5 instructional assistants.

Cost: $95,000 Artful Learning fee plus approximately $120,000 per year in in-school costs (teacher pay for the Summer Institute, substitute coverage, and classroom materials)—$215,000 per year, $645,000 over three years.

Option 2: Arts-Based Skill & Strategies — One-Year Intensive

A concentrated introduction for schools piloting the approach: one four-day Summer Institute, an overview of the framework and practical classroom strategies, curriculum materials, and two on-site trainings with ongoing remote support. It does not offer the depth of the three-year model but can serve as a foundation for future engagement.

Cost: $95,000 Artful Learning fee plus approximately $120,000 in in-school costs (teacher pay for the Summer Institute, substitute coverage, and classroom materials)—$215,000 for the year.

For Existing Artful Learning Schools

Option 3: Refresh

Hybrid professional learning renewal for veteran and new educators at an Artful Learning Legacy School. The two-day, summer session is customized for new and remaining school personnel, focusing on leadership, curriculum mapping, and refining and implementing units of study along with arts-based skills and strategies and online, remote support for one year. The session provides professional learning for a minimum of 10 to 40 participants. Summer only.

Cost: Ranges between $13,000 - $77,000 based on school capacity.

Option 4: Sustain & Train

Capacity building for existing Legacy Schools to train new staff, with one trainer supporting teachers who already use the Artful Learning model. Four-day customized coaching with delivery of the model, arts-based skills and strategies, curriculum mapping strategy, and remote planning support. The session provides professional learning for 20 participants. Summer only. (Optional annual leadership remote support available as an add-on).

Cost: Ranges between $18,000 - $77,000 based on school capacity.
