Bernstein at the Grammys®

Leonard Bernstein was represented at the GRAMMY® Awards this past weekend, with tribute concerts and performances, as well as a win for SONY Classical's box set "Leonard Bernstein - The Composer."
On Friday, January 26, Lang Lang hosted an afternoon concert, GRAMMY® Salute To Classical Music, a program paying tribute to legendary composer Leonard Bernstein. Co-hosted by Jamie Bernstein, performers included piano students from Lang Lang's International Music Foundation, young music students from the Frank Sinatra School of the Arts and the Harmony Program, classical guitarist Pablo Sáinz Villegas, trio Time for Three and vocalists Vocalist Kiana Ledé, Ledisi and Isabel Leonard, all performing arrangements and excerpts from Candide, West Side Story, Wonderful Town, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue and MASS. TONY® and GRAMMY® award-winning artist Ben Platt took the stage at the 60th Annual GRAMMY Awards Ceremony, broadcast live from New York's Madison Square Garden, to sing "Somewhere" from West Side Story, in a special tribute to Leonard Bernstein. Read more
