New York Festival of Song
As part of the worldwide "Leonard Bernstein at 100" celebration, New York Festival of Song offers a Leonard Bernstein extravaganza. The concert features selections from a wide range of the maestro's musical offerings. Repertoire: (All Bernstein Program): From Songfest: if you can't eat; I, too, sing America /Okay Negroes; A Julia de Burgos; To what you said; To my dear and loving husband; To the poem. From Arias and Barcarolles: Prelude; Love Duet; Greeting; The Love of My Life; From On the Town: Lonely Town; Ain't Got No Tears Left; From 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue: We Must Have a Ball; Seena; From Mass: I Go On; From Wonderful Town: The Story of My Life; From West Side Story: Something's Coming. (Approximate running time including one 20-minute intermission: 90 minutes).
