Chorus pro Musica, of Boston, and Jamie Kirsch, Music Director, present "Yahad/ Together" LEONARD BERNSTEIN Chichester Psalms JUDITH BINGHAM The Darkness is No Darkness S.S. WESLEY Thou Wilt Keep Him in Perfect Peace ARVO PÄRT L’Abbé Agathon J.S. BACH Cantata 140: Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme At this, a time when “the nations rage,” Bernstein’s remarkable psalm settings remind us “how good, how pleasant it is, to dwell together in unity.” Bach’s cantata, one of his most popular, joyously calls us to fellowship with God—for whom the darkness has no power. Pärt’s fable (for women’s voices) shows how one might achieve divine peace by freely giving to others. Tickets: $50, $40, $25. 10% off for seniors over 65 and groups of 6+. We also have $10 tickets for attendees under 30. Concert Location: First Baptist Church, 848 Beacon Street, Newton, MA.
