Join Chorus pro Musica and musical lecturer Laura Prichard as they explore his lively, dramatic Chichester Psalms: the result of an unusual commission from an unusual British Cathedral Dean, inspired by music intended for an early version of West Side Story. You'll also get an in-depth look into Bernstein’s international peace work and sing some early versions (with the original Engish texts) of music that evolved into Chichester Psalms.
Join us for an evening of songs from the musical theater works of Leonard Bernstein during the worldwide #Bernsteinat100 celebration, leading up to Bernstein’s 100th birthday in 2018. Directed by Toronto’s Robert McQueen , featuring remarks by Alexander Bernstein, the talents of Broadway stars Melissa Errico and Chilina Kennedy.
