West Point Band/West Poing Glee Club
As the basis for the Fireworks choreography, this year’s musical score will highlight new interpretations of patriotic classics like Stars & Stripes Forever and The Star Spangled Banner, a medley of Bernstein's classic musical compositions including the iconic New York, New York from “On the Town,” as well as Mambo and America from “West Side Story.”

Legendary singer/actor/dancer Rita Moreno, who played the role of Anita in the film adaptation of West Side Story, will make a special appearance on the July 4 performance in honor of the Bernstein centennial tribute.
Chita Rivera/Joshua Bell/National Symphony Orchestra
Tony Award Winner Chita Rivera will introduce a segment featuring Bernstein’s “Tonight” from West Side Story performed by Grammy-winning violinist Joshua Bell with the National Symphony Orchestra.
